Renowned International Senior Intellectual Property (IP) Advisor, Evgeny Taranda, held a two-week tenure as the inaugural CERI International Expert-in-Residence.
Over a two-week period ‘ET’, as he affectionately became known, dedicated 94 hours to engaging with over 200 CERI stakeholders. Evgeny advised the importance of generating quality IP and the need to develop business strategies for strong IP, conducive of successful enforcement in the global market.
Strengthening the Ecosystem
CERI’s Expert-in-Residence program extends the reach of CERI’s contribution to the ecosystem. In addition to facilitating sessions for the Concept to Creation module, our experts deliver a series of seminars, round-tables and meetings to increase engagement and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders. These have included WA universities and research centres, business leaders, investors, legal professionals, advisors and, of course, our CERI alumni and startups.
This has led to improved understanding and support of our mission to incubate high-knowledge workers and bridge the ‘valley of death’ gap between the end of research funding and commercialisation of their discoveries.
The international Expert-in-Residence program continues in 2018 with CERI having secured government funding to bring an international expert in team-formation and communications to Perth. Follow us on Twitter to be among the first to read who it will be.
CERI is grateful to the Australian Government’s AusIndustry Incubator Support Initiative for providing additional funding to help secure our international guests.
