Thanks to our recent partnership with iPrep, in 2017 PhD candidates from all five universities will have access to CERI’s Programme. Round one students in the iPrep programme will now be invited to attend CERI’s first Module, the “Entrepreneurial Mindset Boot Camp”.
The iPrep programme builds relationships with local business leaders who agree to host a team of up to four PhD students at their organisation providing valuable short-term work experience outside of academia. Participants are matched with industry partners and spend six weeks assisting their host organisation to solve a complex problem. Offering the “Entrepreneurial Mindset Boot Camp” at the beginning of the iPrep programme will set the scene for the students and help them to prepare before they start their projects.
In early November we hosted iPrep’s Business Engagement Information Evening, organised by Guan Kwang Tay and Steph Delaporte. At the event, potential industry partners met with past participants and learned more about the unique initiative.
